Ambition

“Camp Fire”, took place in California in 2018. This fire alone was responsible for burning up to 62,052 hectares of land and 18,804 structures, estimated to have emitted 114 million tons of CO2 into the atmosphere. 85 individuals and innumerable wild animals perished. The fire originated in a remote area due to a faulty electric transmission line and was detected when it spanned 4 hectares. The wind swiftly contributed to its rapid expansion. With Yamakoe’s solution, early detection and containment of such a wildfire would have been possible. The expected fire spread pattern could have been calculated, and the at-risk populations identified.

Solution

By implementing our solution that enables the rapid detection of fires within minutes, we aim to facilitate immediate intervention, ensuring swift and effective extinguishment. Distinguishing itself from existing systems that often detect fires after extended periods, our technology simplifies the process, avoiding the complications and obstacles associated with delayed responses.
